Caring for our students

On joining the academy, new Year 7 students join a Tutor Group alongside older students, who will help them settle in quickly. Students in each Tutor Group belong to the same Family. Our six Families are named after pioneers of the international co-operative movement. Meet them below!

Year 11 make up our final Family called 'Tenacity'.

Each Family has a Head of Family. The Heads of Family take a leading role in organising Tutor Time, assemblies, inter- and intra-Family competitions and more!

In addition to a Form Tutor and Head of Family, students also have a Learning and Pastoral Support Officer (LPSO) who acts as their head of year. The LPSO ensures the welfare of their students and provides a central point of contact for families.
