Miss Thistlethwaite’ s blog, October 2014

Dear Parent/Carer,

I would like to take this opportunity to let you know that Year 11 have had a fantastic start to the year on the whole.

There is a new behaviour system in place this year which is working and enabling students to make their own choice of what behaviours they display in the academy.

Please could I ask that if a child has a headache or a cold that parents/carers send the student in school as Year 11 is crucial and very fast paced; we do not want them to miss any education.

The Year 11 students look very smart in their uniform and they all have the correct equipment – Thank you to parents/carers for supporting them with this.

Please ensure; if you drop your child to school that they arrive on time.  The consequence for arriving late is 30 minutes of detention with me at the end of the day.

We have now selected our prefects and are in the process of accepting applications for senior and executive prefects.

I would like to sincerely thank you all for your continued support with our students and look forward to meeting you on Parents Evening on Thursday 15th January 2015 4.00 – 6.00.
