Ofsted to visit the academy on Wednesday 14 February 2018
Schools and academies are regularly inspected by Ofsted. Please read the letter sent to the academy from Ofsted, to give notice of an inspection.
Information about inspections
Ofsted make judgements on four areas:
- the effectiveness of leadership and management
- the quality of teaching, learning and assessment
- personal development, behaviour and welfare
- outcomes for pupils
Schools are given an overall grade from 1 to 4:
- grade 1 – outstanding
- grade 2 – good
- grade 3 – requires improvement
- grade 4 – inadequate
The grade a school receives determines how frequently the inspectors visit. Good schools normally receive a short inspection every three years.
If you are a registered parent or carer of a pupil at the academy (including pupils on sick leave or who are temporarily excluded), you can tell us your views about the school by completing Ofsted's online survey, Parent View, at: www.parentview.ofsted.gov.uk.
Ofsted have written a useful guide for parents and carers. You can find the latest version at https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/school-inspections-a-guide-for-parents
