A chance for parents/carers to discuss ways to improve the academy

The next Parent/Carer Forum takes place on Wednesday 18 October 2017. To give as many parents/carers as possible a chance to attend, we are inviting parents to join a morning session (9.30am - 10.30am) or an evening session (5pm - 6pm) - whichever is most convenient.


What is it?

 
The Forum is a chance for parents and carers to sit down and have a tea or coffee with the Principal/senior leaders and discuss how we can make the academy even better.
 

You said, we did!

Some of the changes we have made after feedback from parents and carers include:
  • Independent Learning Tasks - how they are presented to students and how often they are set
  • Revision materials for Year 11 parents - we held an evening in December and publish resources on our VLE so that parents and carers can help their children revise
  • Reports - how they look and what information they give

The next meeting

At the next meeting, topics of discussion will include how well students in all year groups have settled in to the new school year, our new parent app 'My Ed', and more.
