Visitors come far and wide for Higher Apprenticeship fair

Students from a variety of schools and colleges across Greater Manchester and beyond visited the Co-operative Academy of Manchester on Thursday 7th February 2013 for a Higher Apprenticeships Fair.

Higher Apprenticeships are at the same level as university courses and are taken by people with A Levels or other college-level qualifications, as an alternative to university. They give you the chance to earn money in a real job whilst gaining high level qualifications.

A large variety of companies who offer Higher Apprenticeship opportunities to 18-25 year olds attended the fair, including high profile organisations BAE Systems, BT, PwC and our lead sponsor, The Co-operative Group.

The fair was organised in conjunction with national charity the Education and Employers Taskforce and the National Apprenticeship Service attended to offer advice on what Higher Apprenticeships are available and how to find and apply for them, as well as filming the proceedings.
